Above the Rooftops – The Carillon Tower
There are 190 steps up to the carillon tower. The view over the rooftops of Salzburg is worth every step! We take a look at the fascinating mechanics of the early eighteenth-century clockwork mechanism: a huge brass cylinder, with 7,964 holes drilled into it, uses small metal pins to play all kinds of melodies.
