Our highlights in new locations!

The Salzburg Museum Neue Residenz is currently closed for major renovations and site expansion. The reopening is expected in 2027. Under the title ‘Salzburg Museum – Gastspiel’, we have been appearing ‘here & there’ since March 2024, presenting our own educational programmes and exhibitions in collaboration with various institutions throughout the city and province of Salzburg.

We cordially invite you to rediscover special objects from the collections in different locations and unusual contexts.

It is remarkable how many galleries, art associations, and museums have come together to collaborate with Salzburg Museum during the temporary closure of the Neue Residenz for renovation.
