The 2025 museum season has come to an end. We would like to thank you for your visit and your interest!
The Folklore Museum will reopen its doors on 28 March 2026.

About the museum
Exciting insights and fantastic views
The way from the palace park in Hellbrunn near Salzburg leads through woodland to Hellbrunn Mountain, where the Folklore Museum has its idyllic seat, with a fantastic view onto Hohensalzburg Fortress as well as the palace and the palace grounds of Hellbrunn. The Monatsschlössl was built by Archbishop Mark Sittich in 1615 and provides an attractive architectural setting for the presentation of the Folklore Collection, housed here since 1924.
