Where reality meets the screen

Opening in mid-2026, the ‘Sound of Music Salzburg’ seasonal museum will be located right next to the ‘Sound of Music’ gazebo in Hellbrunn.

The museum will not only explore the enduring phenomenon of the Hollywood film classic and the musical, but also shed light on the true story of the singing Trapp Family.

Sound of Music Salzburg – Insight and Outlook

The 60th anniversary of the Hollywood film The Sound of Music starring Julie Andrews, which was released in cinemas in 1965 and became a worldwide success, as well as the new museum, are the occasion for a preview at Schloss Leopoldskron.
