Salzburg Museum offers the opportunity to become a member of the Museumsverein (museum association). Admission to all locations is free for members of the Salzburger Museumsverein (Salzburg Museum Association) and the Museumverein Celtic Heritage (Celtic Heritage Museum Association).

No. People with disabilities have free admission to all locations. In addition, one accompanying person may be taken along free of charge.

Yes, assistance dogs are allowed in all Salzburg Museum locations.

Museum of the Celts Hallein
The shop at the Museum of the Celts offers fans of Celtic culture a wide range of replicas of Celtic artefacts from Austria and Germany, along with other unique souvenirs and gifts. Do not leave Hallein without some salt! Numerous publications and exhibition catalogues related to the topics of Celts, prehistory, Hallein city history, as well as art and culture in the region of Salzburg are available for sale. Plus, there is also a wide range of games and books for children.
Silent Night Museum Hallein
In addition to numerous books for all ages about the famous carol, you will also find many gift ideas in this museum shop. Beer glasses and tea glasses with quotes from Franz Xaver Gruber, small games, and delicacies from Hallein complete the shop’s collection.
Neue Residenz
Due to the renovation work, the museum shop is currently closed.
The museum shops are open during opening hours and are available to you even if you’re not visiting the museum.

Photography without flash for personal use is permitted in Salzburg Museum’s collections and all special exhibitions, unless otherwise indicated.

Is the Toy Museum also suitable for babies?
Yes, babies and toddlers can move freely around the house, crawl on heated carpets in many places and find baby-friendly elements on all levels. On the 2nd floor we have a baby room especially for the little ones, where mums can also breastfeed.
Where can I park my stroller in the Toy Museum?
Our stroller parking area is located in the entrance area next to the ticket office.
Where can I swaddle?
Please only use our specially designed changing tables, which are available on each floor.
